Dr. Sumit Talwar is a graduate and post-graduate from the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi. He trained in AIIMS till 1999.

He is currently working in Manipal Hospital, Old Airport Road, Bangalore as the Head of the Department of General and Minimal Access Surgery and the Chairman of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery of Manipal Hopitals starting the discipline in Manipal.

Apart from his professional positions he has been closely involved in the establishment and progress of Orioles Health India Pvt. Ltd. and Interglobe Health Services India Pvt. Ltd. Both the companies have varied business interests among which Medical Value Travel is the main. They have recently diversified into import and export of Medical supplies and Equipments. He is now a director in both these companies.

He is also a director in Asl Medical Private Limited which engages in delivering healthcare services in India and abroad.

He is a partner in an LLP firm, Stan’s Kitchen LLP whose business interests are in the running of cloud kitchens

He is a director in Medstry Biotech Pvt. Ltd. which is a pharmaceutical company headquartered at Mumbai
